What makes a business successful? Is it a great product or service, a talented team, or a strong marketing strategy? While all of these factors are important, there is one driving force that sets successful businesses apart from the rest. In this article, I will explore the key factors that propel companies to success and why understanding this driving force is crucial for any business owner or entrepreneur.
The Business Driving Force
Define the Business Driving Force
The Business Driving Force is the core element that propels a business towards success. It is the underlying factor that motivates and guides a company’s decisions, actions, and strategies. This force can vary from business to business, but it is typically centered around a specific goal or purpose that drives the company forward. Understanding and harnessing this driving force is essential for any business looking to achieve long-term success.
The Business Driving Force
By looking at the BG5® information of individuals, a business team and a company, there is a middle pillar representing the present. It is about Movement and Energy, the day-to-day resources. It’s a combination of Capacity, Vision, Implementation and Public Relations.
And the main driving theme is Capacity and Vision. This is – so to say – the heart and soul of a business. So let me give you some details on these 4 very particular Gates in the design of an individual and a business team. 4 Gates: the spine of a group function and the center of any business’ potential success.
Capacity
Capacity is the ability to generate resources that helps the business thrive. Resources equal to money, people and/or needed supplies. Capacity is the motor that jump-starts any business, and it gives the group the potential of attracting and receiving the resources it needs to be successful. Having a gate 14 in the design gives people a sense that the business has the capacity to back up promises – the business has the resources it needs to actually do what they say they will do. Capacity can help the group generate cash and resources – which allows people to get paid and business to get done and it injects an attitude and a sense of “We have what it takes” mentality to succeed.
Vision
Vision is the ability to establish the direction for the business and points the way for the best way to spend the money generated. This is the direction of the business moving forward. Vision provides insight and guidance on how to use the resources the group has and enables the Group to market their products/service, plan for the future and oversee the day-today operations. A person having Gate 2 brings Vision for Spending (helps the group decide where to best spend the resources ($$) they have) and Using Resources (helps the group understand their capacity and use it wisely). Vision is the skill that gives the business the direction it needs. “Where are we going and where should we spend the resources to get us there?”
Implementation
Implementation is the ability to get your product or service out the door into the hands of your customers. Yes, it is Sales. Implementation is the full capacity and vision put into creative action (sales) so that it can be visible, seen and experienced by your customers. It is the ability to get things out the door – to sell your product or service. Implementation is the skill to take the Vision and find creative ways to implement it out into the world. This is the skill to: Implement a Marketing or Sales Strategy/Process – Sell a product or service – Make sure the product/service is created and ready to be sold and delivered. – Get new customers – Get things “out the door”.
Public Relations
This is the ability to attract the necessary attention, to make an impression. It is all about getting noticed. This skill is about contributing creative effort to the Team Goals and promoting the group’s work.
Understand the Importance of the Business Driving Force
The driving force of a business comes from the 4 mentioned gates above. This driving force behind a business is what sets it apart from its competitors and propels it towards success. It’s the foundation upon which the company is built and the guiding principle that informs all of its decisions. Without a strong driving force, a business may struggle to differentiate itself in the market and may not be able to effectively connect with its target audience. Understanding the importance of the driving force is crucial for any business looking to achieve long-term success. A gap in the 4 gates of the central system (Capacity – Vision – Implementation – Public Relations) – and therefore a business skillset – can cause a real problem for the business.
